About Us
Recover Hope is a diverse team of professionals committed to bringing awareness and compassionate care to a world that is filled with more people in the social injustice of modern-day slavery than at any other time in history. Aligned with our strategic partners, we work to restore victims of human trafficking in six (6) ways:
Community Awareness: By educating our community about the reality of human trafficking, we can help schools, churches, parents, and youth prevent and identify incidences of trafficking. Our prayer is that awareness will help end the spread of this social injustice in Chesterfield, VA, and the tri-cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, and Hopewell.
Human Trafficking Survivor Restoration: We plan to provide a safe place for healing as survivors exit the trafficking lifestyle. Recover Hope will provide access to critical services such as medical care, mental health services, support during the judicial process, and transition housing.
Survivor Transitioning: During our 2-year residential program, we will support survivors with tools to help them create a fruitful future for themselves, including career development and work as they reenter a mainstream lifestyle. Our hope is that lives are changed for the future, and our residents will have the tools so they can no longer be made vulnerable to others.
Lifelong Mentoring: As survivors re-enter life outside of trafficking, we will come alongside them to support and help provide counseling so they can remain free from the control of trafficking for the remainder of their lives.
Supporting the needs of Local Law Enforcement Today: We are deepening relationships with law enforcement agencies and providing support by keeping them abreast of the latest educational opportunities. Human trafficking can only be solved when many work together to provide protection and justice.
Supporting Prosecutors and Victim Witness Advocates: We partner with area prosecutors and victim witness advocates to help seek justice for victims.

With the help of partners like you, we strive to:

RESTORE Survivors of human trafficking regardless of race, socio-economic status, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, gender, or marital status through access to safe houses with trained personnel, mental health services, medical services, transportation and support during the judicial process, transition housing, career development, and life-long mentoring.
SUPPORT law enforcement and the judicial system by establishing emergency shelter, survivor care, and other resources.
