Linda Hawkins, Recover Hope President and CEO, has known since age twelve that she was born to serve others. She served as a registered nurse specializing in Cardiology for 30 years and continues to hold her license, now 40 years. Linda graduated from Petersburg General Hospital and Richard Bland College, followed by a journey through the Virginia Commonwealth School of Business, with a final stop as a Registered Nurse to a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing. As Linda became physically unable to continue in nursing, she became impassioned with the social injustice of human trafficking. Linda has helped support a local safe house for domestic violence and human trafficking survivors since 2016. Linda’s experience with the safe house is a significant part of why Recover Hope exists. Linda also served on the Richmond Justice Initiative Board of Directors from 2016 through 2019. She currently represents Recover Hope on the Virginia Coalition Against Human Trafficking (VCAHT). Linda has a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Jennifer, and has 3 grandanimals, Lulu, PJ, and Cyllah.
